Playa Del Carmen, Mexico - March 13, 2025 - Meaningwave pioneer Akira The Don proudly announces the release of his latest single,ASSUME YOU HAVE IT, featuring vocals from metaphysical visionary Neville Goddard. This track marks the first single from Akira’s highly anticipated debut Neville Goddard Meaningwave album, set to drop in April on the Meaningwave Recording Label.

Akira The Don, a British-born artist and producer now based in Mexico, has carved a unique niche with his revolutionary brand of Meaningwave - blending philosophical spoken word with an ever evolving tapestry of masterful production. His latest work pairs that signature style with the teachings of Neville Goddard, a Barbadian-American mystic (1905–1972) whose lectures on imagination and consciousness have inspired generations. 

ASSUME YOU HAVE IT transforms Goddard’s wisdom into an epic piano-drenched hyperballad, setting the tone for the forthcoming album, which promises to take the Meaningwave Psychotechnology to glorious new heights.

“Neville is someone people have been asking for in the Meaningwave Universe for a long time, and with increasing frequency,” says Akira. The concept for this project has been brewing for years, but it crystallized recently in a recent late-night epiphany.

“I’ve been working on the idea of a Neville record for many years now, and was hit by the final bolt of inspiration at about 2am a little while back, as I was falling asleep. Happily, I managed to have the presence of mind and sheer willpower to drag myself out of the quicksand of fast approaching slumber and record the vital aspects into my futuristic note-taking device before they evaporated like tears in a tsunami.”

The vocal sample, recorded in the late 1960s during Goddard’s prolific lecture period in Los Angeles, reflects his teachings on the subconscious. At that time, Goddard was delivering weekly talks, often emphasizing techniques for manifesting through assumption - crystalized in the song’s refrain.

“One thing that was getting in the way of me making a Neville record for so many years was the degraded quality of the surviving recordings of his lectures, which were around 73% hiss to 27% Neville,” Akira explains. “Recent innovations in audio cleaning technology have gifted us with a hitherto unimaginable excellent vocal clarity with which to work. Truly, as Paul Simon told Chevy Chase that time, this is the age of miracles and wonders.”

ASSUME YOU HAVE IT is now available to stream and download on all major platforms. The forthcoming album promises to dive deeper into Goddard’s philosophy, wrapped in Akira’s transformative beats.

“The sound of the record was one of the things that came to me as I was falling asleep,” says Akira. “It’s a very beautiful, angelic, piano-led, orchestral, hyper-Ghibli-esque anthemic sort of a sound.”

Fans can expect the album’s release in April, exclusively on the Meaningwave Recording Label.
