“The message in the song is one of those things that I have found to be true throughout my life, and yet I am consistently having to remind myself of,” says Akira, speaking from his jungle studio on the Yucatán peninsula. “ So, like I always do, I found someone speaking fluently and brilliantly about every aspect of it, and made it into a song. In this case, a collection of songs, since the seemingly counter-intuative ‘Stop trying to get it, and you’ll have it,’ message is a theme that runs throughout the whole album.”
